Lucy™ Adapter for 20 GA Shotguns (Rem 870)
Mesa Tactical’s Lucy™ adapter dramatically increases the number and type of butt stocks that can be used with 20 gauge Remington 870 shotguns. Attached at the receiver in place of the standard 20 gauge stock, this cast steel adapter enables the use of any 12 gauge Remington 870 stock. There are many more options for the 12 gauge than 20 gauge, including Mesa Tactical’skits and even the Hydraulic Buffer system.
The Lucy Adapter simply bolts to the back of a 20 gauge 870 receiver, allowing the 12 gauge stock to then rigidly bolt to the adapter. This greatly increases the options and availability of butt stocks for the 20 gauge shotgun. The 20 gauge Remington 870 is an excellent platform for personal defense, but it suffered from fewer tactical butt stock offerings than its 12 gauge counterpart. The Lucy Adapter solves this problem.

The most important capability of these adapters is to facilitate the use of collapsing or telescoping stocks, which provide a shorter length of pull (LoP) than the factory stock, which is especially important for law enforcement or “tactical” operators. In addition, these stock adapters accept a hydraulic buffer from Crosshair™ that reduces felt recoil. The AIM is by far the most effective of several shotgun stock systems on the market.
